Cooking and Enterprise

The cooking and enterprise project provides a platform to deliver a ‘healthy eating’ message without stigmatising individuals.

This message has been built into a programme that develops young entrepreneurs as teams of children design and produce their own healthy drink / snack and created marketing and pricing strategies, branding, logos and advertising materials.

Edmonton Glee

The Glee project, based on the popular TV series, gives local children the opportunity to take part in Glee clubs where they are able to showcase and develop their singing and dancing talents.

Art Project

Funded by Celebrate England Big Lottery funding the Celebrating Diverse Edmonton project is an intergenerational project bringing children and older people together to celebrate the diversity of their local area through Art.

Counselling

Therapy provides children with strategies, resilience and the

self-esteem needed to cope with and overcome adversity.

BBC Children In Need has funded this project which supports young people through talking, drama, dance and movement therapies.

English for Speakers

of Other Languages (ESOL)

Consultation carried out with a sample of groups from Edmonton schools highlighted that 78% of parents were not confident about speaking English and 76% said they would be interested in attending ESOL at their local school. The project includes a rolling programme of ESOL and Family Learning.

Speech Bubbles

Speech Bubbles is a national programme that uses drama/storytelling to support the social and emotional development as well as the language and communication skills of children in KS1.
